realized wood would catch on the yarn! lol

It's finished! :D

Well except for the backing that I'm going out to look for next week. ;) I'm also considering using the red for the outline that will help hold the backing on. Any thoughts?

I have the top and bottom borders to put on then it will be all done! ☺ ☺ ☺
I also filled in the part that the instructions said to cut out. I think I like it better this way. ☺

All Squares done!

Ok, I've finally gotten around to getting all 6 squares done but I'm still feeling a bit off about the open stars in the middle of the 3. Anyone have any ideas on what to put in them? I was thinking about matching the stars from the other squares. Other than that, all I need to finish is the border, *I'm also not happy with the way they've done that*, so, I'm still thinking on 2 parts. lol Here's all 6 finished squares:

.... for the hearth rug. Now only 1 1/2 squares left. 6 small ones if you want to count them that way.. lol

Another Square for the Hearth Rug

Finished a couple more squares yesterday since my net was being a pain. This is the last design for the second large square. The square below and this one (2 each) will make one full size square of which I need to make 6 total. The 3 large ones are already done. Now I have 9 more small ones to do. :| lol

So now I've got 3 squares done, 2 of the last post and this one. I'm really liking the colors. ☺ This is one of the  4 small squares that will make up one large squares like the one 2 posts (or is it 3?) below. lol

First Square. :D

Well, I have the first couple of squares done for the hearth rug and still have 12 more to go. 1 large and 11 small. I'm a bit unsure of what they want me to do though. Not in the instructions but in the design itself. They want me to cut out a star shape in the middle of one of the squares and leave it open. I'm not really sure I want to do that since I've always tossed rugs with holes in them. lol So what do you all think? Should I cut it out or add something in it?

*Sigh* Still waiting...

.. for the book I ordered to get here! :'(
In the meantime, I'm still working on the Hearth Rug from the Fireside book I've had forever. lol

New Project

So, I've been having this problem with getting into my current projects so I went out and bought the supplies for another project. *shame on me* lol Sooooooooo, without further ado, my newest project that I plan on starting today. ☺

I plan on starting on the hearth rug first

with a few adjustments on color of course. ;)
